Alexandra Galkina
Alexandra Galkina was born in Moscow in 1982. Since 1997 she has participated in different art projects. In 1997-1998 participated in the projects of The Avant-garde School, until 2002 participated in Radek Moscow art group actions.
Alexandra's works were exhibited in Russia as well as in other countries: in Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), NCCA (Moscow), MMOMA (Moscow), Kumu Museum (Tallinn), Contemporary Art Museum (Warsaw), Museum of Moscow, OUI (Grenoble), Casa dei Tre Oci (Turino), Zarya (Vladivostok), Stella Art Gallery (Moscow), Calvert (London), XL Gallery (Moscow) etc.
In 2010 Alexandra took part at the International biennal of contemporary art Manifesta 8 in Spain. At the same year got the special prize from Stella Art Foundation within annual Art ceremony "Innovation".
Alexandra was granted as a resident of international programs: AIR Laboratory Warsaw, Poland (2012); KulturKontakt Austria (2013); Artist in Residency - Lofoten, Norway (2014).
Lives and works in Moscow.
