Art Index - the new art rating of the 49ART project

The Best Contemporary Russian Artists (Art Index) is a list (unranked art rating) of artists from Russia and the Russian abroad, no older than 1960, compiled on the basis of indicators for evaluating achievements, popularity, creative activity of authors (titles, awards of artists, participation in exhibitions, fairs, auctions, mention in art -ratings, availability of works in museum collections, etc.).

The Art Index is the successor and further development of the ARTEEX art rating.

Authors can also be included in the list of the Best contemporary artists based on expert recommendations, which allows the art community to discover new talents.

The maximum number of names in the List is 500 authors (Top 500). The list is open and up-to-date. The Art Index is considering proposals for the inclusion of authors in the list of the Best contemporary artists in Russia.

The Art Index is primarily aimed at collectors and all connoisseurs of modern fine art.
